After the genocide, she returned to Rwanda with nothing, carrying deep trauma and grief. For many years, she lived in silence and pain, struggling to rebuild her life alone. In 2014, she found hope and healing through a survivor support group, where she slowly began to regain her strength and sense of humanity. Today, despite her losses, she continues to live with resilience and courage, sharing her story so that her family will never be forgotten.

After surviving an attempted execution in the Nyabarongo River and enduring unimaginable suffering, she continued her journey through displacement, violence, and loss. Today, she lives alone, rebuilding her life with courage, faith, and resilience, sustained by the strength to keep moving forward despite everything she endured.
